No. The databases that include public performance rights for their content are linked below.

Academic Video Online: Almost all of these have PPR for in-classroom or public showings, as long as no admission is charged. Films from Film Platform are excluded from PPR. To exclude films published by Film Platform, in Refine Your Search, on the left side of the screen of the search results, expand the Publisher menu, click the +More text, then click the checkmark boxes for all the publishers except Film Platform. Additionally, from the film page, if you look below the playback box at the title information, you can see if a film is from Film Platform.

Films on Demand: Everything has PPR rights, but only if they are being shown to current Pellissippi students, faculty, and staff. They cannot be publicly shown to anyone that is not part of PSCC or was formerly part of PSCC but is no longer attending/working here.

Kanopy: Some films have public performance rights (PPR) that can be shown at any event on campus that doesn't charge admission. These films will be notated with a PPR icon beneath the title. Look here for more information on Kanopy's public performance rights.

Swank: You can only show these films in a classroom on our current licensing. If you would like to show one of these films in public, we would have to reach out to Swank and see if a PPR license can be purchased, and it would have to be paid for by the requestor's department or club. These usually cost between $250 to $500.

Streaming videos owned or subscribed to by PSCC Libraries should not be used for public screenings unless they have public performance rights, as noted above by database. PSCC Libraries will not be held liable for misuse of the streaming content in the collection.
