You need to verify your New York Times Academic Pass.
Go to your PSCC Webmail and open the email from the NYT and click on the "verification" link to complete subscribing. This will activate your subscription for 1 year from the date you completed your application. If you did not receive a verification link, please send an email from your Pellissippi email address to edu@nytimes.com with subject line: “Academic Pass - no verification email.”
Once your account is set up, always go directly to New York Times. If not logged in, click on the top right "Log in" link and enter your NYT username and password.
If your 1 year subscription has expired, you can renew your account by going to the library's list of databases, and click on the NY Times link. When you try to log in as usual, you should see this message:
Confirm your email to receive another 1 year subscription.
