  1. Check the location to make sure you are in the right library
    • ​​If you see "Reserve Room," ask at the library's desk for the book
    • Tennessee Theatre, Available at PSCC Hardin Valley Library Hardin Valley Stacks, 2nd Fl.
  2. Write down the call number
    • Tennessee Theatre, NA6846.U62 K55 2015
  3. Go to the bookshelves (also called "the stacks")
  4. Shelves are arranged A-Z and each letter represents a subject area (ex. N is Fine Arts), go to the first letter's section
  5. Within the letter's section, the books start again with N, NA, NB, etc., go to the second letter's section, if there is one
    • Library Map, shelves are labeled alphabetically and NA is circled
  6. Numbers before the period represent a whole number, 1-9999, go to the number
    • Books on shelf in the NA section with call numbers arranged numerically
